Ss316L Surgical Steel

Surgical steel 316L is suitable for primary piercings in the EU.
SS316L is a material for surgical implants and is most commonly used for body jewelry. The two most common standards for steel body jewelry are ASTM F138 and ISO 5832-1, which describe the quality of steel for surgical implants.
Nickel is an element in stainless steel that, in very rare cases, can cause allergic reactions in some people. Polishing the jewelry to a high shine creates a protective layer of chromium oxide that reduces the release of nickel into the tissue. Surgical steel can be sterilized in an autoclave.
